Your only design limits with this beautiful recycled tile line is your imagination. Nu-Art's Eco-Terr Tile Line boasts and impressive 75% recycled content composed of either recycled glass chips, granite chips, or marble chips and Portland Cement Matrix. When sealed, Eco-Terr tiles are impervious to water and staining making them ideal for interior and exterior use. Tiles are available in an array of colors and two sizes, 16"x16" and 24"x24". Additionally, some colors will be available in slabs in 2006.

Material Content: 75% recycled glass, marble chips, or granite chips and 25% Portland Cement Matrix.
Applications: Flooring, commercial and residential, interior and exterior.
Colors: Crema di Parma, Oyster White, Spring White, Fontana White, Barbados Yellow, Periwinkle, Tahitian Cream, Moor Green, Bulgari Black, Ocean Gem, Aztec Yellow, and more colors avaiable by special order.
Benefits of Eco-Terr Tiles include: Sustainable, high recycled content earns LEED accredidation points, easy installation and maintenance, durability is comparable to other tiles.

Care & Maintenance
To prevent stains from occurring prior to finishing, use preventative measures throughout the entire installation phase.
After installation and finishing, and prior to sealing, be sure the surface is clean and grease free. A degreasing detergent, such as FILA PS/87 diluted 1:10 with water may be required.
A protective stain resistant sealant is recommended for floors exposed to high impact traffic such as restaurants and public places.
To seal clean and dry surfaces: apply a stain resistant impregnating hydro-repellent protection or oil-repellent that will not alter the aesthetic appearance of the tiles. An alternative to this highly protective treatment, it would be to apply a coat of floor-finishing wax with a suitable applicator.
To maintain surface luster apply standard cleaning methods and use neutral detergents. Avoid cleaning products that contain acid (even when diluted), alkaline detergents, strong solvents and paint strippers. To clean: dry mop; wet mop with a neutral detergent diluted with water; rinse thoroughly with clean water; and let dry.
To clean waxed and non-waxed surfaces DO NOT use hot water. Use a neutral detergent, wring mop often and rinse thoroughly.
To restore waxed surface gloss, coat periodically with a solution of the original finish wax diluted with water (2 cups wax to each bucket of water).
Product Information
No two tiles are alike. The allure of consistent irregularity is one of the popular characteristics that create the allure of natural beauty by the blend of component materials that comprise ECO-TERR.
Storage
Do not leave materials outdoors. Materials are to be stored indoors. If left outdoors, climactic conditions could affect packaging or materials which could alter the surface or finish.
Do not leave materials in storage for any length of time. Moisture and light can alter condition of materials. Long-term storage could cause eventual discoloration or fluorescence. Prudent caution is advised for lighter colors.
Keep all left over tiles as a reserve.
Post installation: some tiles may appear to lack uniform coloring. This is a natural phenomenon related to the evaporation process. When freshly installed, the humidity absorbed by the tiles from the adhesive, can vary in tone from center to edges. It is destined to disappear during the drying process.
Other components: glass and mother-of-pearl are elements that differ in structure from the stone chips. Upon occasion one or more can become dislodged from the surface. This can happen during the polishing process. These fissures can be evened out with suitable natural stone surface fillers.
Tile blend: it is recommended that tiles be laid side-by-side prior to installation to assure an even color blend.
ECO-TERR is made of natural re-cycled stone components. The technical data may vary somewhat with each color blends. Detailed information is available on our website and in our brochures.
Preparation & Installation
Substrate
Prepare the substrate using cement mortar. Let dry. The ageing process can take up to a week depending on thickness. Substrate must be thicker than 5 cm. It is important to factor in any existing joints.
Before installation, check the substrate for suitability. Substrate must be: insulated, dry, stable, solid, sufficiently flat and free from loose material, dust, greases, oils, waxes, paints, detaching agents and any other items that may reduce adhesion.
It is important to be certain that the surface is level. Check for irregularities with leveling and auto-leveling measures. The planarity of the surface must not have level differences higher than 2mm.
Installation
Wet the tiles before installation by dipping them in clean water for a few seconds. This will allow guarantee a firm grip between the tile and the substrate.
Spread the adhesive onto the substrate foundation and then lay the ECO-TERR materials onto the wet adhesive before it forms a superficial pellicle (crust). Beware of extreme temperatures and ventilation; the open time of the adhesives (indicated in the specifications) can notably change.
Carefully press the wet tiles into place for a flawless adhesion. Level the tiles with care and precision as you go along in order to avoid any difference in level among the tiles. Any excess adhesive that comes to the surface during the installation must be removed immediately with a wet sponge.
Grout
The recommended width for the installation joints (grouts) is 2 mm. This allows for the sealant to penetrate to the required depth at all points.
The width of the joints/grouts can be determined by taking into consideration the dimension of the tiles and the thermal expansion coefficient.
Existing expansion joints must be provided for large surface panels of approx. 16 sq meters.
The filling of the joints must be performed while the adhesive is still soft. Use professional and tinted fillers such as Kerakoll's "Fugabella" or similar products. Find a close match for the color of the grout to that of the tile.
Always clean surface excess while still fresh by using a sponge and clean water. Pay close attention to colored fillers that may stain the tiles. If necessary, protect the floor before the filling operation.
To prevent markings: avoid covering or protecting the tiled floor with cardboard that may have colored ink, magazine pages, plastic, nylon or adhesive tapes.
Adhesives
Use adhesives designed for the installation of natural and engineered stone. KERAKOLL products such as "Flex" white, "H40 Rapid," and "H40 Marmorex" products is recommended though there are other products with similar technical characteristics which work well. It is important to follow the supplier instructions and factor in the weather conditions when ready to install.
Raised Floor
A raised floor represents a "hidden technical space" which is used to locate electrical, plumbing, telephone, air conditioning, heating cables and any other utilitarian system. It is usually made up of 60x60 flanged and escaped hard boards or other material panels.
These boards rest upon a steel galvanized steel structure at variable heights. This supporting structure is comprised of vertical supports with a base, threaded bar, spacer pipe and a printed and ribbed head to allow for coupling of the omega section beams throughout the adherence area by means of a highly rigid snap lock.
Modular panels for ECO-TERR assembly are available for either a wood mix (specifically for use in overhead floors), or in anhydrite, in either a single or monolithic layer, with class zero fire reaction properties.
Ventilated Wall
ECO-TERR ventilated façade represents the answer to the increasing needs of thermal and acoustic protection for both new construction and for renovation projects.
The ECO-TERR ventilated façade will protect the building overtime as it will naturally eliminate the formation of condensate and humidity. These features increase habitable comfort and decrease seasonal costs due to heating and conditioning.
The 60x60 ECO-TERR tiles are well suited for wall covering. This size lends itself to covering large expanses with a contemporary visual aesthetic while at the same time maintaining functionality and ease of installation.
For external fixing, the system requires insertion of the slab into the horizontal profile and blockage of the slab in its upper portion by means of snap springs which are present in the horizontal profile. This structure can be adjusted at will - it is strong and withstands wind action and accounts for thermal dilation of the various components.
